Københavns Andelskasse under kontrol deposits banking licence

28 June 2019

Københavns Andelskasse under kontrol has today deposited its licence to carry on banking activities.

The licence was deposited as a step towards the resolution of the bank and as a consequence of the fact that all the bank’s activities requiring a licence have been terminated and the bank no longer accepts deposits or carries on securities trading activities.

Moreover, Københavns Andelskasse under kontrol has been converted into a financing company with the name of FS Finans VI A/S, from which the winding up of remaining activities will take place. FS Finans VI A/S is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Finansiel Stabilitet Group.

The operations of Københavns Andelskasse under kontrol at the previous offices located at Gammel Torv, Copenhagen have been discontinued and FS Finans VI A/S will be located at Sankt Annæ Plads 13, Copenhagen with the rest of the Finansiel Stabilitet Group.

Finansiel Stabilitet assumed control of the bank on 13 September 2018, upon which a number of initiatives were taken to ensure an appropriate and controlled resolution process. The share capital of all existing shareholders was written off and Broinstitut II A/S, a newly established and wholly-owned subsidiary of Finansiel Stabilitet, assumed ownership of the bank.
